You can even have a 'decorate for the wedding' party the day before your wedding, which is a wonderful way to spend time with your closest friends and family before the big day. My favorite part of weddings are the traditions. You will have your turn to wear white when you get married. In fact, some of the brides have done away with the traditional veil and just wear flowers or jewels on their hair.

So, with great colors to choose from, romance in the air and a very pleasing climate, there is a lot to recommend holding fall weddings over any other time of the year. Another option for your tropical wedding is the Flamingo that has all of six tropical wedding venues of which all but one are outdoors and which are ideally suited for a not very large wedding ceremony. You can base the theme of your wedding on the flowers or even the colors. In addition, you can get an even bigger thrill by choosing a location that is ideal for a fall wedding. Some people prefer garden wedding while the more conservative and traditional couples like church weddings. For instance, if the wedding colors are peach and gold, you may wear a golden gown while the other girls wear peach colored gowns.
To me there is no greater risk in life than an outdoor wedding. Oh sure people make back up plans, have huge tents, and even try and keep the option of moving the wedding inside open, but an outdoor wedding can sometimes be a challenge. So when you are planning your outdoor wedding keep in mind that sometimes it even rains on outdoor weddings.
I remember the day when I considered my best friend the luckiest guy on the planet. It was his wedding day and it had nothing to do with his bride. To this day I still have the picture of he and I over my desk and every once in a while I just look up and smile at how lucky he can be. My best friends wedding was held in New England on a cliff overlooking the ocean.
It really was a beautiful spot but the problem was that parking was at a dead end road some 400 yards away from the cliff. So we parked, walked down a narrow path that was cut through some thick forest for about 150 yards, then we emerged from the forest to find ourselves standing in the rough of the 5th hole of a public golf course. From there we had to walk another 200 yards up the fairway, in our wedding tuxes and dresses while there were golfers playing, and then we wound up cutting across the fairway to another path. This path wound its way about 50 more yards, over sand and gravel, to the cliff. It was the strangest outdoor wedding I had ever been to, the golfers thought it was too, and my friend is lucky because it did not rain. Lucky guy.
Location, Location, Location
As odd as my friends outdoor wedding was, I have always felt that that was the point of an outdoor wedding. An outdoor wedding, to me, is the chance to exchange vows someplace special that you cannot bring to a church or chapel. My friend chose this spot because that is where he took his wife to ask her to marry him. It seemed like a very strange place to take someone to pop the question but that is what they wanted. If you are going to do an outdoor wedding then have it at a spot of significance. Make the trip worth it.
I have also been to the outdoor weddings in sprawling parks and huge back yards and they are equally as impressive as the cliff wedding was. Sometimes there is a significance to the couple in just being outdoors that causes them to make their plans. Whatever your reason is for your wedding plans keep in mind, as you do your planning, that sometimes it even rains on outdoor weddings and having your wedding down the 5th fairway of a golf course and making your best man wear a black tux in the heat of August is just plain cruel.
